Longfellow House

I will travel with you on your van or bus to the historic Longfellow House in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Before arrival, I will recite many of Longfellow's poems and will dive into his life. Once at the site, we will join a Park Ranger for a 45 minute guided tour of the Longfellow National Historic Site. The site is fascinating not just from a literary, but from a historical context.

The Longfellow House was originally built in 1759. It is rich in history; used by George Washington, and visited by Benjamin Franklin and John Adams in its early years. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, the beloved American poet, lived the house from 1837 to 1882, and was a gathering place for many of the area's authors and philosophers.

We will then continue the tour for a relaxing lunch at a fine restaurant in the area before we return.
